Keeping a promise - More Kitty

If you've been following the Raspberry AROS native boot saga, you'll know that finally it does! (If you don't, well... you know now!...)
Nick 'Kalamatee' Andrews had already promised a native version of AROS booting from SD-card - and it's here! According his words only USB is the limit for usability on Raspberry Pi.

If you don't know what is Raspberry Pi well just go to Wikipedia (I'm lazy today).

But while this is just another step into the multiplatform area of AROS (x86/x64/m68k/ppc/arm...), it's also a beautiful excuse for another Kitty post (to annoy the anti-furry squad ;) )!

An image by Mdrb for the AMIGA IMPACT french site, really captures the moment regarding AROS achievement on Raspberry Pi really in a good way and it's sure delicious on multiple ways! Excellent work - if anyone knows him and his reading this, be sure to compliment him on my behalf!
I definitely ask for more from Mrdb! Keep Kitty coming... to this site or another site!

I told you there would be more Kitty... I always keep a promise! ;)

AROS WORLD - finally becoming a portal for AROS

Fact: AROS World site has been dragging to get AROS notoriety.
Created with the objective to provide more AROS PR and being of complementary purpose to AROS-EXEC and AROS.ORG (back in the early days). After all AROS-EXEC was created in a spirit of development interchange of info outside the AROS .ORG dev-ML, it wasn't intended to become the AROS Portal for all users.
While being well received and nurtured inside the community, it never really took of at first...
There were even talks of shutting down the site...

And why? Simply putting - on a relative small community such as ours, realities tend to be somewhat harsh. Few users were going to waste time in two forums, double posting, etc with little going of besides developer activity... And as a news portal regarding AROS, back then the AROS SHOW was THE much anticipated and read site outside the "official AROS channels".

But as I anticipated and mentioned earlier AROS World would have it's own space in the future as AROS would evolve and mature. Now having 4 distros, branching diferent architetures as well as the original X86 an the intended m68k, users are more now. And AROS is now regarded more as an alternative Amiga like OS, even by the early antagonists of the project.
And recently it has becoming more apparent that AROS World is now more useful - and meaningful.

Of course all merit has to go to it's administrators (and users). AROS World is full of well placed and managed news, info and topics - always up to date - that make it to the common user a place to regularly visit.
And although I wasn't fond of it's design at first, I have to reckon its adequate and works like a charm!

Congratulations AROS World admins - You've provided one the finest resource for AROS - keep it going!

So bookmark AROS World now (if you haven't already) and show it some love. It will grow on you!

   I'm coming back...

For personal reasons I had to put on hold several projects, and lot of real life stuff...

Things are more stable now, so maybe I can slowly resume them - specially AROS.

More news to come soon!...

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
tell the World I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
tell the World I’m coming
